RethinkWaste Summer Swap 2026

RethinkWaste is hosting a Summer Swap event where you can donate, swap, or pick up gently used items perfect for outdoor summer activities. This community event helps keep usable goods out of landfills while giving your summer gear a second life!

Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Location: RethinkWaste Administrative Office
1245 San Carlos Ave, STE E, San Carlos, CA 94070
Free Event — NO Registration Required
All ages are welcome and the site is wheelchair accessible

Items must be in GOOD to FAIR condition to be accepted.
- Beach bags
- Beach games and toys
- Sports balls
- Frisbees
- Picnic baskets and blankets
- Camping/beach chairs
- Pool toys
- Kites
- Sunglasses
- Hats
- Medium sized coolers
- Insulated bags
- Hiking backpacks
- Small beach umbrellas (5ft tall max)
- Small cameras
- Handheld fans
- Small camping gear (not to exceed 10 pounds per item)
- Small beach tents (not large camping tents)
List of NON-ACCEPTABLE Items:
- No sharp/hazardous items
- No stoves/burners
- No propane tanks
- No gas lanterns
- No towels
- No footwear
- No bathing suits
- No oversized/heavy camping or beach gear
- No bicycles
