Join us for a week of creativity and skill development at two exciting camps for students interested in the arts and technology!
**Debutant's Newgrass Hoot Camp for Grades 4–12** will take place from Monday, July 20 to Friday, July 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Purdue Fort Wayne Music Center. Designed for grades 4-12, this camp focuses on ear training and improvisation in an acoustic string band setting, where participants can choose to play the violin, guitar, mandolin, banjo, upright bass, cello, or viola. Led by touring performers and licensed educators, students will engage in a hands-on musical experience aimed at skill development and collaboration.
Simultaneously, we will offer a **Virtual Reality Camp for Grades 6–8**, also running from July 20 to July 24, but from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Purdue Fort Wayne Visual Arts Building. This camp introduces students to immersive technology through visual coding, multiplayer VR, and tools used in game design and digital arts. Campers will gain essential skills for future studies in fields such as architecture, engineering, and technology.
Join us for an enriching week full of learning and creativity! The cost for Debutant's Newgrass Hoot Camp is $275, while the Virtual Reality Camp is $225.
