SBDAC Creative Academy Visual Arts Summer Camp Ages 9-12

Big imagination needs room to grow.
Week 2 of SBDAC’s Creative Academy Visual Arts Camp invites artists ages 9–12 into a full week of immersive artmaking, collaborative projects, experimentation, and creative exploration inside one of downtown Fort Myers’ most iconic arts spaces.
Led by award-winning educator and professional artist Melissa Phelps, campers will strengthen foundational artistic skills while exploring watercolor, acrylic, illustration, design, sustainability, and mixed media projects that challenge creativity and encourage self-expression. Students will experiment with new mediums throughout the week and even create artwork that lights up using conductive materials.
No prior experience required. Just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to explore.
