Details:
This isn’t just cooking camp. It’s a behind-the-scenes look into the world of culinary arts.
Week II of SBDAC’s Culinary Arts Camp is designed for aspiring chefs ages 13–17 ready to sharpen their kitchen skills, explore culinary creativity, and step inside a real-world hospitality environment through a special partnership with Luminary Hotel Co.
Led by Chef Nathalia Small, students will train in culinary techniques, plating, presentation, food science, and creative design while learning inside Luminary’s immersive Culinary Theater and world-class commercial kitchen. Throughout the week, campers will participate in special behind-the-scenes experiences exploring culinary service, scratch preparation, plating techniques, and the fast-moving world of professional hospitality.
Students will also incorporate artistic mediums into their culinary planning process and photograph their creations throughout the week to help build a portfolio of completed work.
