Gloria's 14th Annual Food Shelf Shortest Marathon is a ONE BLOCK run created by Gloria Carpenter to benefit the White Bear Area Food Shelf.
- 10:30am Gather at Bald Eagle Avenue (between 3rd and 2nd street) in White Bear Lake. Enjoy two White Castles from Mueller Memorial for a carbo-load before the race and lemonade from Raising Cane's.
- 11:00am Race begins. Refresh with a bottle of water halfway down the block, so no one gets dehydrated.
- 11:15am Celebrate with Caribou Coffee and donut holes at the finish line after completing the Food Shelf ONE BLOCK Marathon.
The past 13 marathons have raised over $140,000 for the Food Shelf!
Your $40 tax-deductible donation per participant ($15 for children under age 12) includes food before and after the race along with a t-shirt.
Register by September 9 to receive an "I FINISHED GLORIA'S 14TH ANNUAL FOOD SHELF MARATHON" custom t-shirt. T-shirts are not guaranteed if you register after Wednesday, September 9.
T-shirts can be picked up at the food shelf after registration, as supplies are available. Final t-shirt pickup on Friday, September 18 between 4:30-5:30pm. Tours of the food shelf will be available! Any shirts not picked up by 11am on the day of the event will be forfeited.
