Hiking groups are designed to help participants cultivate greater presence, awareness, and connection through intentional time spent in nature. Using hiking as a foundation for mindfulness practice, the group encourages participants to slow down, quiet distractions, and fully engage with the sights, sounds, and sensations of the natural environment while walking
alongside others in a supportive setting.
Each hike incorporates mindfulness-based techniques such as breath awareness, grounding exercises, sensory observation, and reflective pauses throughout the trail experience. Participants are encouraged to notice their thoughts, emotions, and physical
sensations without judgment while developing a deeper connection to themselves, the group, and the world around them. Through regular practice, the group aims to promote emotional
balance, stress reduction, self-awareness, and a greater sense of calm and clarity in everyday life.
The group will meet at the event location at 10:00 a.m. and will end around 12p.m. If you want to meet beforehand at the Invisible Wounds Project to carpool, please email roufsisaiahusmc@outlook.com in advance to arrange meeting times.
