Hudson County Showing the Love: The AIDS Memorial Quilt Exhibit & Panel Discussion

Join Craig Guy, Hudson County Executive, and the Hudson County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs/Tourism Development for a special evening of remembrance, reflection, and community as Hudson County honors the lives impacted by HIV/AIDS through the AIDS Memorial Quilt exhibition, Showing the Love: Hudson County Lives, HIV/AIDS, and the AIDS Memorial Quilt.

Immediately following the flag raising, join us inside the Courthouse Rotunda from 5–6 p.m. for a public panel discussion exploring Hudson County’s experience on the frontlines of the HIV/AIDS crisis. The conversation will feature Jonathan Lucas from Hudson Pride, representatives from the Hudson County Department of Health and Human Services, and community voices reflecting on activism, loss, resilience, and progress.
This event is presented by the Hudson County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs / Tourism Development and in partnership with the Hudson County LGBTQ+ Advisory Task Force.
The AIDS Memorial Quilt exhibition will remain on display at the William J. Brennan Courthouse from June 1–30 and is free and open to the public.
Created during the height of the AIDS crisis in the 1980s, the Quilt has grown into the largest community arts project in the world, honoring more than 110,000 lives lost to HIV/AIDS while continuing to raise awareness, education, and hope.
