Fishing Derby 2027 - for Kids 4-15 years old

Free Kids Trout Fishing Derby. The Yucaipa Valley Lions Club has partnered with San Bernardino County Regional Parks and California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) for a morning filled with fish and fun outdoors. Rain or shine, let's fish! Registration will open February 8 through SB County Parks- the link will be added to this post in February. Kids 4-15 years old can participate in the Derby. Prizes will be awarded. No experience necessary, there are lessons on casting, knot tying and more provided by CDFW. You can bring your own fishing pole and bait or you can use ours for use during the derby. Parent's driver's license or car keys needed to check out a fishing pole. The Derby is free but Park Entry Fee is not. Once in the park, you can spend the day after the derby is done. Food and drink vendors will be on-site.
