Join us for "Wild Science with Dr. Melodie Kao," an engaging talk featuring Dr. Kao, an Astrophysicist and Researcher at Lowell Observatory. Since joining in 2024, Dr. Kao has focused on exo-aurorae and brown dwarf magnetospheres to deepen our understanding of exoplanet magnetism, utilizing prestigious U.S. facilities such as the Very Large Array, Keck Telescope, Hubble Space Telescope, and James Webb Space Telescope. In addition to her research, Dr. Kao has a passion for education, designing experiments and public workshops, and believes in the importance of finding connections between different fields. She co-created the Wilderness Astronomy course at ASU and teaches dance to scientists, promoting leadership and teamwork. Outside of her academic pursuits, she enjoys backpacking, running, dancing, and reading. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from a scientist who inspires curiosity and creativity in the world of astrophysics!
