The Wednesday Socials are back and we couldn't be more excited!
This free community event welcomes everyone to Station Square to enjoy live music and be social.
The beverage garden will be stocked with Fernie Brewing Beer, Cider and BC wine. Make sure to bring your ID in order to get a wristband for 19+ attendees. The event starts at 5.30pm with Support Act, food trucks and craft activities for the kids.
HEADLINER - RaytheNihilist
RaytheNihilist is an award-nominated Indigenous hip-hop artist representing the Blood Tribe.
Blending rap, storytelling, and Indigenous culture, his music explores resilience, identity, and the realities of being Indigenous in modern society. Through themes of language revitalization and cultural connection, he aims to inspire youth and offer a contemporary perspective on Indigenous identity.
Known for combining powerful lyricism with smooth, self-produced instrumentals, Ray has released three EPs and several singles, including the well-received I’ve Been Doing Good EP (2023). He began recording his debut studio album in 2024, featuring prominent Indigenous artists.
Ray’s career has grown rapidly in recent years. After joining Junk’s Lions Eat Goats tour in 2022, he went on to complete three self-headlined Western Canadian tours and continues to perform, present workshops, and deliver motivational talks across the country.
His accolades include a 2021 SaskMusic Award nomination for Hip Hop Artist of the Year and a 2024 Saskatchewan Indigenous Music Award nomination for Fans’ Choice.
With powerful lyrics, high-energy performances, and a strong commitment to community, RaytheNihilist continues to be an artist to watch.
