Join Outdoor Adventure Center educators and Detroit River Sports for a kayaking trip along the Detroit River and its beautiful canals. We’ll spend most of our time learning about the history of the river and the Eastside Canals, visiting Greyhaven Island and the Historic Fisher Mansion along the way. We’ll finish with a quiet paddle through the canals in southern Jefferson Chalmers.
This two-hour program will include check-in, gear distribution, a safety talk and boat loading. Ninety minutes of water time guaranteed. The route length is 3 miles and will include a portion paddling upstream. Experience is helpful but not required.
Participants must be age 18 or older.
Participants should dress for outdoor activities.
Note that this is an offsite program taking place at Detroit River Sports, located at 14601 Riverside Blvd. in Detroit.
Preregistration is required. Cost is $49 per person.
