Soar into Summer Program: Aircraft Riveting

Join us for an exciting summer at the New England Air Museum with our **Aerospace Academy Family Workshops** and **Soar into Summer Program: Aircraft Riveting**! These engaging programs offer hands-on learning experiences for families with children ages 4 and older.

In the **Soar into Summer Program**, kids will get to create their own riveted aerospace metal piece to take home for just a $5 materials fee.

Meanwhile, the **Aerospace Academy Family Workshops** cater to ages 8–12 and their caregivers, featuring six themed sessions throughout July and August 2026. Each workshop provides unique opportunities to explore the history and science of flight through interactive activities, behind-the-scenes museum access, and specialized guided tours.

The six workshop themes include:
- **Aircraft Design** (July 5-11): Basics of aircraft engineering.
- **World War II Wonders** (July 12-18): Aviation innovations from WWII.
- **Everything But Airplanes** (July 19-25): Four forces of flight in various aircraft.
- **Aircraft Restoration** (July 26-August 1): Hands-on maintenance skills.
- **Space Voyagers** (August 2-8): Exploration of our solar system using flight science.
- **All About Airports** (August 9-15): Airport operations and careers.

Workshops run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with sessions priced at $40, covering one child and one caregiver along with museum admission. Space is limited to 20 participants per workshop, so early registration is encouraged as spots fill quickly. Don't miss out on the chance to learn, build, and be inspired together this summer!
