Course Description:
Take home your personal, painted wood totem at the end of this fun, informative, and imaginative workshop!
You’ll receive a thick, wooden “character” shape on which to draw and paint your own colorful Totem! $50 material fee to the teacher directly.
Techniques Taught
Imaginative techniques for visualizing character possibilities within shapes.
Painting techniques using Holbein’s buttery-smooth Acrylic Gouache.
A method for using colored primer for professional results.
Easy color theory using triads, accents, and neutrals.
How to quickly mix and easily use values.
Simple methods for easy shading using your pre-mixed value strings.
Materials provided by the instructor:
Wooden character shapes, Acrylic Primer, Acrylic Gouache paint, Paint brushes, Palette paper, Palette knives, Water containers, Pencils, Erasers, Sketch paper
