Paddle Sports: Kayak Lake Springfield

Join us for two exciting summer events that celebrate Missouri's natural beauty! First, experience Paddle Sports: Kayak Lake Springfield on a summer evening at the Southwood Canoe Access & Trail of Honor parking lot at 7:00 pm. Enjoy kayaking while learning about Missouri's native wetland habitats and wildlife. We provide kayaks, paddles, and life jackets; just bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and wear appropriate clothing. This event is FREE for ages 18 and up, but registration is required.

Additionally, participate in the Native Plant Identification Workshop Series this summer to explore the prairies and woodlands of Northwest Missouri. Hosted by the Missouri Department of Conservation and other partners, these hikes will take place on June 16th & August 18th at Wallace State Park and July 21st & September 15th at Dunn Ranch Prairie. Ideal for all skill levels, participants can enjoy learning about unique native plant species. Please wear appropriate outdoor gear and bring water, sunscreen, and bug repellent. Meet at The Nature Conservancy's Dunn Ranch Headquarters in Hatfield, MO. Join us for one or all sessions and reconnect with our natural environment!
