Join us for the Discover Nature Fishing Lesson, which combines elements from both Lesson 1 and Lesson 2 to provide a comprehensive introduction to fishing for children and families of all ages. In this engaging session, participants will learn how to safely and properly cast a spincast fishing rod, understand the parts of a fishing rod, fasten basic fishing tackle, and manage fish handling and release techniques. Building on these foundational skills, participants will also master intermediate techniques such as tying an improved clinch knot and securing various types of baits to hooks. All fishing gear will be provided by the instructors, so participants only need to come dressed in outdoor-appropriate clothing and close-toed shoes. It's advisable to bring sunglasses, a water bottle, and sunscreen. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Completing all four Discover Nature Fishing Lessons earns participants a free fishing reward to encourage family fishing outings.
