Details:
Join us for a series of exciting fishing events designed for all skill levels!
First, attend the **Free Community Fishing** event at Krug Park, where fishing poles, worms, and tackle will be provided, along with water and hotdogs for all attendees.
Next, participate in the **Learn to Fish: Big Muddy Alternative Methods Catfish Clinic**, a two-day clinic focusing on catfishing techniques on the Missouri River. The clinic starts with an orientation at Burr Oak Woods Nature Center, followed by practical sessions on the river where participants will set and collect trotlines, jug lines, and limb lines for catfish. A catfish cleaning demonstration will conclude the clinic. This program is suitable for adults and families with children aged 9 and older, and all equipment will be provided.
Additionally, we invite newcomers to join the **Learn to Fish: First Time Fishing** session, where you will learn the basics of fishing, including how to cast, identify parts of a fishing rod, and properly handle fish.
Lastly, don’t miss the **Community Fishing: Free Fishing - Drop by and Try it!** event at the Missouri Department of Conservation headquarters. Enjoy Missouri’s Free Fishing Days at the MDC ponds, with all gear and bait supplied, and no fishing permit required.
All events are a great opportunity to connect with the community, learn about fishing, and enjoy a fun day outdoors!
