Polka Party in the Park

Celebrate Independence Day with music, dancing, food, and family fun at the Patriotic Polka Party in the Park on Saturday, July 4 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the Karas Bandshell in Escanaba's beautiful Ludington Park.
Presented by Kivioja & Van Effen, CPAs and the Escanaba Downtown Development Authority, this growing annual tradition features authentic, high-energy polka music by The Mix of Pulaski, Wisconsin. Known throughout the Midwest for their fast-paced Polish-style polkas and waltzes, The Mix brings an energetic performance that will have audiences of all ages dancing in front of the stage.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Little Bay de Noc, the Patriotic Polka Party combines traditional music, community spirit, and Fourth of July celebration. Visitors can enjoy local food trucks and vendors throughout the park while taking part in one of Escanaba's most unique holiday events.
The Polka Party is part of Escanaba's larger Independence Day celebration, which also includes a classic car show, K-9 demonstrations, Jaws of Life safety demonstrations, family activities, and an evening fireworks display. Following The Mix, the Escanaba City Band will take the stage to continue the patriotic festivities leading up to fireworks at dusk.
