The Erie Downtown Partnership (EDP) is dedicated to revitalizing downtown Erie by enhancing its image, business climate, physical environment, and design. They work to make downtown safe, fun, and welcoming for all through various initiatives. The EDP's Safety + Hospitality Ambassador Team focuses on cleaning sidewalks, beautification, and providing business support, having removed over 70,000 pounds of trash last year and conducted 109 homeless wellness checks. They organize approximately 130 events annually, such as the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Winter Carnival, to foster a vibrant atmosphere. Additionally, EDP provides grants and assistance to small businesses for facade improvements and engages in business advocacy. They are also involved in developing a public space plan to support downtown's economic vibrancy and quality of life. The organization also manages the Down4Erie Gift Card program, which supports over 30 local businesses and encourages local spending.
