What’s going on in July?
July 11 | Energy: Animated Waves
How do waves move across Lake Erie? Using a paper flip book, animate the gradual movement of a wave, whether it's a ground swell crashing onto the beach or a gentle seiche rocking back and forth. Draw, trace, and flip through your pages to bring your wave to life. Inspired by Catherine Kennedy's Walk Along the Shoreline.
July 25 | Energy: Layered Lake-Scapes
How do layers of water move and interact? Using a layered squeegee technique, dot and pull paint across paper to build a dynamic lake-scape full of color and motion. Layer colors, vary your strokes, and capture the energy of Lake Erie one wave at a time. Inspired by Roy Ahlgren's South Shore.
