Details:
Have you ever thought of the buttons you use almost daily on your clothing? You won't believe the vast history of such an ordinary everyday object! Let’s explore buttons—you will be surprised! Join Mary Jane Koenig, President of the French Creek Valley Button Club and member of the PA State Button Society and the National Button Society as she talks about what buttons are, their history, and the materials they are made of. She will also share her personal framed exhibit of buttons.
At the end, the Idea Lab will supply every attendee with a commemorative America's 250th button engraved with wood that they can decorate for themselves and take home!
This class is meant for children ages 8-12.
