Leonardo's Children's Museum
200 E Maple Ave, Enid, OK 73701, USA
In September 1995, Leonardo’s Children’s Museum opened thanks to our amazing founders Helen Mary Walker Garriott and Owen Garriott, the Enid Arts Council, and countless volunteers. Since then, approximately 70,000-80,000 guests visit every year, making it one of NW OK’s most popular attractions. There is 100+ hands-on activities for children and families to enjoy inside our museum! Much like our namesake Leonardo da Vinci, we pride ourselves on being a place where art and science meet and hope to inspire the artists and scientists of the future. In 1996 Adventure Quest, Enid’s castle opened! It was made possible by 12,000 volunteers and 150,000 volunteer hours! The three-story wooden castle features bridges, slides, swings, mazes, a water table, dinosaur dig, and tot lot. Today, it remains the world’s largest community built outdoor playground. We are open Tuesday-Saturday 11am-6pm. Adventure Quest is always open weather permitting. Guests 15 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult that is 16+. Paid admission is required for everyone over the age of 1. 1 supervisor/adult per 5 children. No child or supervisor/adult is permitted to enter the museum alone due to safety reasons. Leonardo’s is a 501c3 non-profit organization governed by the Enid Arts & Sciences Foundation, volunteer board of directors and of course, operated by a committed staff of employees and volunteers.
