Cell Phone Thrones!

In this class, we’re making something small but seriously handy (and a little bit magical)—a handmade ceramic cell phone stand!

Think of it as a tiny throne for your phone… because it deserves better than sliding off the counter or disappearing into couch cushions. Whether it’s propped up for cooking videos, FaceTime calls, or just keeping it visible while it charges, this little stand keeps your phone comfortably “on display” instead of lost in the chaos.

We’ll start with textured slabs of clay and shape them into playful, personality-filled stands—no two will look alike. You’ll also add a built-in opening so your charging cord can slip through easily, letting your phone charge while it rests in style.

Once everything is built, you’ll choose from my studio glazes to bring your piece to life with color, shine, and a final touch of pottery magic.

Because clay must dry completely before firing, the finishing process takes several weeks. Once your piece is fully dry, it will go through a bisque firing. After the bisque firing is complete, I will clean each piece, wax the underside, apply glaze, and fire it one final time. Projects will be ready for pick-up in approximately 4–6 weeks. Shipping is also available for an additional fee.

Please wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and tie back long hair. Rings, bracelets, and other loose jewelry are best left at home.
