Daniel Ch 9:20-24: Lesson B Part IV: The Messianic Countdown

Join us as we continue our analysis and Scripture comparison of GOD’s revelation given to Daniel through His messenger Gabriel concerning the “Seventy Weeks determined” for Daniel’s people and Jerusalem, “to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy” (Dan. 9:24). Understanding the term “weeks” in its Hebrew context is crucial to knowing and discerning GOD’s prophetic timetable in regards to prophecies already fulfilled and those being fulfilled in the not so distant future. Regarding the importance of understanding these future prophetic events yet to be fulfilled, Jesus said, “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:34-36 (see also Matt. 24:36-44; Mark 13:32-37)).
