Details:
Andrew Duppstadt, education and interpretation supervisor for the North Carolina Division of State Historic Sites, will highlight some of North Carolina’s most famous (or infamous) seafaring personalities, pirates, privateers, and commerce raiders. The presentation explores over 150 years of maritime history, including Sir Walter Raleigh, the Golden Age of Piracy, the American Revolution, the War of 1812, and the American Civil War.
