Details:
Join our "Intro to Auto Repair" hands-on course and learn the essentials of maintaining and repairing your own vehicle. This course covers the basics of vehicle repair, such as buying tools and clothing, mastering techniques, and performing common maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements. No prior experience is necessary, but a basic understanding of auto anatomy is recommended; if you're new to this, consider taking our Auto Literacy for Life class first.
By the end of the course, you'll feel confident in researching, planning, and executing vehicle repairs. You'll also receive training on the makerspace's auto lift, granting you member access. The class is led by instructor Lam, so be sure to wear clothes that can get dirty and closed or reinforced-toed shoes, and dress warmly as the auto bay is not heated. Remember to bring your car’s owner's manual!
Registration is open until two days before the event, with refunds available up to seven days in advance. Active members receive a 15% discount with the code: MEMBER. For more details and to sign up, visit the [registration link](www.eventbrite.com/e/intro-to-auto-repair-tickets-1992326537305).
