Meet us at Oxboro Library.
8801 Portland Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55420
You don't have to leave your neighborhood to explore nature! Join a Refuge Ranger at your local library to be a biologist for a day. Make your very own nature journal to use while we work together to discover as many living things as we can around the library. Activities are geared toward elementary-aged students, but all are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
This program will have both indoor and outdoor activities. Activities will be easy-active and self-paced.
What to bring: Clothing and shoes you can comfortably move around in is recommended. This program has indoor and outdoor portions, please bring outerwear appropriate for the weather.
Accessibility at Oxboro Library:
Restrooms and water fountains available inside of the library. Handicap parking available. Paved flat sidewalk, a 0.1 mile walk from parking lot to the library entrance. Paths are maintained year-round and are usually suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Multiple rest areas located inside and outside.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is committed to providing access to these events for all participants. Please direct all requests for sign language interpreting services, close captioning, or other accommodation needs at least ten business days before the event to Oscar Hernandez at oscar_hernandez@fws.gov.
