A bird’s nest is its home. Or is it? Why and how do birds build nests, and most importantly, why do some birds’ nests seem less sophisticated than others? Let’s look at the many ways birds build nests, from elaborate cup nests and cavity nests to seemingly random spots on an open roof, and places so secretive you wouldn’t even know a bird was living there!  Learn how nesting habitat matters to birds and how you can protect their homes and help them thrive.
