Pottery Glazing Workshop
Class: Glazing Pottery with Brian and JoAnne
When: Saturday July 11--- 1-3pm (or 1-4pm if more time is needed.
Who is this class for: Anyone who wants to try Glazing Bisqueware pottery, before professional glazing and final firing is done.
What you will learn: How to Glaze? Well this class may be more about having fun while creating something beautiful and useful. Class will begin with an overview by Brian Young- owner of B Young Pottery.
What we supply: Your B Young Pottery bisqueware piece: an 11" plate, a planter (6.5" x 4.5" tall) or a yarn bowl (7" x 4" tall); Underglazes (paints), brushes, paint palette. All underglazes are water based so clean up is easy. Brian will put on the final glaze and refire your piece.
You will be able to pick it up about a week later.
What to bring: A pencil for sketching on your piece (graphite will burn off in the kiln) plus a thick bath towel to cushion your piece while glazing.
Cost: $80.00 to be paid upon sign up. Please decide at sign up what piece you would like to make.
