The Pasadena Museum of History is the sole institution dedicated to preserving and sharing the history, art, and culture of Pasadena and the west San Gabriel Valley. It operates a museum and research library, offering public exhibits, tours, lectures, seminars, and workshops. The museum's extensive collections include over one million historical photographs, books, maps, architectural records, and artifacts, as well as an art collection featuring local plein air painters. The site includes the History Center, the historic Fenyes Estate and gardens, and the Finnish Folk Art Museum. Its mission is to promote an appreciation of history, culture, arts, and sciences relevant to Pasadena and its surrounding communities.
