Sloppy Boys

Join The Sloppy Boys, a Los Feliz-based party rock band, for a night of fun on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the Beachland Tavern. Doors open at 7:00 pm, with the show starting at 8:00 pm. Comprised of Mike Hanford, Jeff Dutton, and Tim Kalpakis—known from the sketch comedy group The Birthday Boys—The Sloppy Boys began their journey as a jangly cover band for house parties. After their TV show was canceled, they pivoted to writing original music, starting with their debut album, Lifelong Vacation, in 2018, a celebration of summer vibes. They followed with the adventurous Dancing on the Wind and the grand finale, Paradiso, released during the pandemic. The trio also launched The Sloppy Boys Podcast, recognized as one of Vulture’s Top 3 Comedy Podcasts of 2021, where they blend humor with cocktail lore. In 2022, they embarked on their biggest tour yet and recorded their fourth album, Sonic Ranch, with super-producer Money Mark, capturing the process in the documentary Blood, Sweat and Beers.
