Details:
Join the Youth Robotics Program, featuring both a Summer Robotics series focused on Robotic Arms and an ongoing Robotics Club, in collaboration with the Roger Williams University Robotics Team. Participants will explore the exciting world of robotic arms, which play a crucial role in various fields from NASA space systems to automated warehouses and surgical robotics. Over the six-week Summer Robotics program, you'll work with Dobot Magician robotic arms to perform tasks such as object manipulation, drawing, 3D printing, and laser engraving. You'll learn about their functionality and enhance your skills in block coding and Python as you collaborate in groups. Conveyor belts and linear rails will be available for hands-on practice with real-world applications. The Robotics Club will further delve into programming, robotics design, and robotic arms, with details to be announced. This program is ideal for current and rising high school students (grades 9-12); prior robotics or coding experience is beneficial but not required, making it accessible for beginners as well!
