MIY Summer Sessions
There always seems to be so many summer camps and programs for young kids, but what about the tweens and teens who are old enough to stay home alone but you'd rather they spend their time doing something fun and productive? Enter: MIY Summer Sessions!
Our Summer Sessions are for rising 7th-9th graders.
About MIY Summer Sessions
Running 3 days/ week from 10am-1pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, each session offers the perfect amount of social and creative time, without feeling over-scheduled. Each session features a different medium/theme, some resulting in several completed works and others featuring a group exhibit/show. Your tween/teen will spend their time learning new things, making fun crafts, listening to music, chatting and laughing with peers, and just generally having a great time. On Friday, after lunch, we'll walk to B's Ice Cream or Kilwin's for a treat (this is included in the session fee.)

Details about THIS Session: Sewing & Fashion
In this session we'll use a combination of machine and hand sewing to create fun wearables and accessories! Some projects will be instructor-led, while others will be completely student-designed and directed. Every student works at a different pace and chooses projects of differing complexities, so some students may create a few intricate pieces while others might choose to create a higher volume of work. Most materials are provided, but if a student has a set vision, they may need to source materials to meet their specifications.
This Summer Session has a prerequisite. Students will need to have taken our "Learn to Sew" course or have comparable experience with machine sewing. Please contact us if you are unsure if your child's experience qualifies them to attend.
Session Fee:
$190/attendee/session for a single attendee
$180/attendee/session for 2+ attendees
