Get ready for a night of dancing, celebration and sustainable art!
Join us at CCB Plaza for an evening with Mongo, The Scrap Exchange’s beloved blue mascot, brought to life by Jeghetto’s Entertainment (Tarish Pipkins) with live music from Emma Jane and also DJ MARRS spinning tunes.
Mongo the puppet is crafted with materials diverted from the landfill. Tall, newly mobile Mongo will bob and sway, waving his red yarn arms to indie-pop and alternative jazz fusion sounds, creating a playful, larger-than-life performance in the heart of downtown.
We’ll also celebrate The Scrap Exchange’s birthday -- saluting 35 years of nurturing creativity, environmental awareness, and community through reuse.
Don’t forget to explore the incredible galleries and artists throughout downtown Durham during Third Friday.
Here are the performers:
Tarish Pipkins of Jeghetto’s Entertainment
Emma Jane
DJ MARRS
Start your evening at CCB Plaza, get your map and work you way around downtown, checking out all of Durham’s gallery spaces!
