Details:
Join us in celebrating Wussow's 27th year anniversary with a night of folk & americana music featuring
Emily Jeanne Brown’s music speaks to the crossing of thresholds: from childhood to adulthood, from west to east coast, from a pre- to a post-pandemic world.
A lifelong singer trained as a Shakespearean actor, Brown began her foray into recording during quarantine, with a minimal but visceral cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “i’m on fire”, which quickly garnered tens of thousands of streams.
Since then, she has released a string of original singles that are “a natural fit with the current movement of women in indie-folk pop [boygenius, Maggie Rogers, Fiona Apple, HAIM, Phoebe Bridgers, Sharon Van Etten or even Taylor Swift’s latest work]” (Aptly Journal), and is known for curating sold out, community-focused shows at New York venues such as Rockwood Music Hall and The Owl Music Parlor.
Between Howls (Duluth, MN / Superior, WI) are violinist Ren Howl & guitarist Nick Howl. The husband & wife duo’s unique blend of vocal harmonies, thoughtful lyrics and virtuosic instrumental arrangements have been drawing in audiences across the US since 2018.
Tickets: $15 online / $18 at the door. All ages!
