【Palo Alto】Meyhouse Classical: Ava Pakiam & Cole Anderson（Sun 7/19 - 5pm)

Join us for Classical Sunday at Meyhouse Jazz, featuring violinist Ava Pakiam and pianist Cole Anderson in an intimate violin and piano recital, American Dreams, Nordic Landscapes.

At just 15, Ava Pakiam has already appeared as a soloist with orchestras across the U.S., made her Carnegie Hall debut, and won the 2025 Salon de Virtuosi Career Grant. She is known for a sound full of character, clarity, and emotional depth — qualities that are especially powerful in a close, intimate setting.

Pianist Cole Anderson brings 25 years of international performing experience and a deeply expressive musical voice shaped by the great artists of the early 20th century. Together, Ava and Cole create a musical partnership that is lyrical, vivid, and emotionally direct.

American Dreams, Nordic Landscapes brings together music that moves between bold American imagination and the poetic beauty of Northern Europe. The program opens with a sense of rhythmic energy, openness, and modern American color, then turns toward the elegance, lyricism, and emotional landscape of French and Nordic Romantic traditions.

Across the evening, the violin and piano move through moments of drive, reflection, warmth, and sweeping intensity — from jazz-inflected rhythms and luminous textures to expansive melodies that evoke nature, memory, and place. It is a program full of contrast and color, balancing youthful vitality with deep musical sensitivity.

Set in the warm and intimate atmosphere of Meyhouse Jazz, Classical Sunday offers a close-up concert experience with exceptional musicianship, dinner service, and the signature Meyhouse hospitality.

Evening Format
Doors open at 5:00 PM, and guests are warmly invited to enjoy dinner before the performance.
Our full menu is offered à la carte during this time. Food and beverages are not included in the ticket price and will be offered separately from our regular Meyhouse à la carte menu before the performance begins.

To fully enjoy your dinner experience with the Meyhouse menu, timely arrival is highly recommended especially for parties of four or more, as a relaxed dining experience typically requires up to two hours. Dinner service concludes promptly at 7:00 PM.

At 7:00 PM, the room transitions into a focused, acoustically attentive concert setting. The performance lasts approximately 90 minutes, presented in two parts with an intermission.
