Details:
Immerse yourself in a deeply reflective and atmospheric musical experience with Resonant Earth—a program inspired by nature, stillness, and the voices of women in music.
Presented by the Desert Roots Rising Stars Festival in partnership with the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art, this concert unfolds within a contemplative environment shaped by visual art and sound. The program highlights works by female composers Clara Schumann and Jennifer Bellor, alongside with works of Stravinsky, Pierre Jodlowski and the Atom String Quartet.
It features Desert Roots Rising Stars Faculty Artists: Liam Mansfield, Shakeh Ghoukasian, Scott Jackson, Emily Richardson, Omar Shelly, Jeremy Russo, Peter Goomroyan, and Alexandria Le.
Set within a meditative, garden-inspired installation space, this is an invitation to listen deeply, reflect quietly, and experience the resonance between sound and space.
Resonant Earth takes place at the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art on Thursday, June 11, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free, but spaces are limited. RSVP is required (please don’t turn up without it)— www.greenvelope.com/event/desert-roots-rising-stars-resonate-earth
