Join us for a community reading of Frederick Douglass's powerful speech, "What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?" Co-hosted by the John Greenleaf Whittier Home Museum and Historic New England, this special event will bring community members together to reflect on Douglass's enduring words and their relevance today.
The community reading will be followed by a panel discussion; both held in the historic Rocky Hill Meeting House.
This FREE event is made possible through a grant from Mass Humanities. All are welcome to attend.
