Details:
The Arlington Historical Museum is excited to announce two new temporary exhibitions that highlight the rich history and diverse influences of the community. The first exhibit, "We the People," opens on July 12 and is a traveling exhibition from the Virginia Museum of History & Culture. It explores the experiences of immigrants who have shaped Virginia from the colonial era to the present, showcasing how immigration has impacted the Commonwealth’s culture, economy, and identity through stories, images, and historical materials.
The second exhibit, "Arlington Changemakers 250," features local leaders, advocates, educators, innovators, and community builders whose contributions have significantly shaped Arlington’s history. This exhibit encourages reflection on the impactful actions of individuals in defining the community's past, present, and future. Both exhibits aim to engage visitors and celebrate the diverse narratives that have molded Arlington into what it is today. The Museum operates every Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM and Sunday from 1 PM to 4 PM.
