Join us for Summer Family Fridays at the State Historical Museum of Iowa, a series of exciting drop-in programs designed for families to explore Iowa history through crafts, scavenger hunts, and themed activities every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This summer, help us celebrate America’s 250th birthday with special patriotic crafts, including birthday cards for America and coloring activities, while participating in a themed scavenger hunt to discover "Revolutionary Iowans" who exemplified the ideals of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Each week features a new theme, such as transportation history, Juneteenth, and early Iowa statehood, along with hands-on activities and guided tours on select dates. Collect stamps in your Summer Museum Activity Pass during your visits for a chance to win a special museum collection tour for up to 8 guests at the end of the summer. All activities are free and self-guided, with required registration for collection tours available at [museum's event page](history.iowa.gov/visit/events). Don't miss the fun and educational experiences this summer!
