Details:
Dr. Juliana Constantinescu answers some of the questions we have about the sky and our sun: Why can we sometimes see the amazing and mysterious Northern lights in Wisconsin? How is it possible, out of all the planets of our solar system, to have life only on planet Earth? Is the Sun going to die one day? Join us as we learn about the closest star in our sky.
Dr. Constantinescu was a University of Wisconsin-Whitewater lecturer for 26 years and retired in August 2024. With her engineering background, she taught courses for students following the engineering program developed at Whitewater and many science courses designed for non-science majors. This is how she ended up teaching Astronomy, helping her students fall in love with the stars that we recognize in the night sky.
