West Volusia Museum Month!

West Volusia Tourism is challenging visitors and residents to venture outside of their comfort zone this May with the Museum Month Bingo Passport. Attractions across the region like the Museum of Art DeLand, DeBary Hall Historic Site, Enterprise Museum and Gillespie Museum are opening their doors for passport holders to explore their institutions and "get a bingo". From May 1 through June 5, participants can pick up a Museum Month Bingo Passport at any participating museum or the West Volusia Visitor Center, or download one at https://www.visitwestvolusia.com/museums As you visit each location, you’ll have the opportunity to mark off spaces on your card. Once you complete a full bingo line, return your passport by June 5 to either the West Volusia Visitor Center or The Museum Store at the Museum of Art DeLand to receive a free sticker sheet featuring hand-drawn illustrations of each of the museums. Participating museums taking part in the passport this May include: 1. African American Museum of the Arts 2. Barberville Pioneer Settlement* 3. DeBary Hall Historic Site* 4. DeLand House Museum* 5. Deland Memorial Hospital and Veterans Museum 6. DeLand Naval Air Station Museum 7. Deltona Veterans Memorial Park and Museum 8. Enterprise Museum 9. Gillespie Museum 10. Homer and Dolly Hand Art Center 11. Historic Seville School and Community Center 12. Museum of Art-DeLand* 13. Lake Helen Historical Society Museum 14. Lyonia Environmental Center While the few museums noted with an asterisk charge admission, the majority are either completely free or donation based. Call ahead or check online to verify museum hours and special events, and to provide notice for large groups. In addition to the Bingo Passport, many museums are hosting special events this month.
