Shared Symbols, Different Histories: Panel Discussion on the American Flag in Art

Join us for "Shared Symbols, Different Histories," a panel discussion exploring the diverse experiences and meanings of the American flag across various communities and generations. Presented in conjunction with "Our Flag in American Art: 1935–2026," this event features a dynamic lineup of panelists, including artist Bobbi Baugh, Paul Croce, Emeritus Professor of History & American Studies at Stetson University, Michael Roldan, Co-Founder of ModMan, and veteran Christa Yates of MsPreppyPants. Through personal stories, historical insights, and artistic expressions, the conversation will delve into how the flag symbolizes pride, protest, complexity, and contradiction. The galleries open at 5:30 p.m., and admission is free for members while future members can attend for $10. Featured artwork includes Miguel Saludes' "Land of the Free, Home of the Brave" (2026), an oil painting measuring 30 x 30 inches.
