Details:
In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of The Declaration of Independence, join us for a discussion of Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award-winning historian David McCollough's 1776.
Patrons will have two opportunities for what should prove to be thought-provoking conversations:
-Saturday, June 27 from 2:00 - 3:00 pm | Assembly Room at Main Library
-Tuesday, June 30 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm | Genealogy Research Room at Genealogy Center
How are we similar or different to the men and women of 1776? How have we defined what it means to be American in the years since? What have we done with the legacy the founders left to us? These are just a few of the questions we can address during our discussion sessions.
Books are available at the main desk or patrons may place them on hold through Evergreen, Libby, or Hoopla.
