No registration is needed! All crafts are available while supplies last. Jan. 28 at 4:30PM & Jan. 30 at 10:30AM: DIY Library Card HolderJoin us at the Defiance Public Library for a fun craft session where kids can design their very own library card holder/lanyard! Decorate with glitter glue, jewels, stickers, and more to make it uniquely yours. Dont have a library card yet? No problem! You can sign up for one at the circulation desk and start your reading adventure. Feb. 4 at 4:30PM: Make a Straw Greenhouse Get ready to flex your creativity and engineering skills! In this hands-on STEAM program, kids will use straws and pipe cleaners to build their own unique structures. Once their masterpiece is complete, theyll transform it into a mini greenhouse by wrapping it in cellophane. Kids can also attempt a geodesic dome if theyre up for the challenge! Feb. 18 at 4:30PM & Feb. 20 at 10:30AM: Adventures with Dog Man Calling all Dog Man & Cat Kid fans! Join us for a paws-itively fun time filled with crafting, activities, and games! Drop in and explore different stations, including a sniff test challenge to test your senses. Plus, get ready to put your knowledge to the test with Dog Man triviaanswer correctly for a chance to win a prize! And dont forget to check out a variety of Dog Man books to keep the adventure going at home. Its going to be a tail-wagging good time! Feb. 25 at 4:30PM & Feb. 27 at 10:30AM: Snowstorm in a Jar Discover the magic of winter with this hands-on STEAM program! Well kick off with a snowstorm in a jar experiment to explore the science behind weather and winter storms. Then, dive into creativity as kids design their own winter-themed sensory bottles to take home. Dont miss this snowy adventure! March 11 at 4:30PM & March 13 at 10:30AM: Build a Leprechaun TrapJoin us at the Defiance Public Library as we read How To Catch a Leprechaun to spark your imagination, and then put your engineering skills to the test as we design our own unique leprechaun traps. Be as inventive and creative as you canwho knows, you might just catch a bit of luck! March 18 at 4:30PM & March 20 at 10:30AM: Robot City Ozobots are small robots designed to teach children coding in an entertaining way. Construct a city or maze for your robot to explore! No prior knowledge of Ozobots or coding is needed.
