Join us for an exciting day at the Defiance Public Library on June 30, starting at 1 PM, featuring Dr. Peg Yacobucci from Bowling Green State University, who will present "Diggin' Ohio: The Paleontology of Our State." This engaging program, focusing on Ohio's paleontological history, is free and open to all ages with no registration required. Prior to this, Dr. Yacobucci will also speak at Hicksville's Johnson Memorial Library at 10 AM.
Additionally, the Defiance Public Library hosts a Dino Art Series from 1:00-6:00 PM on June 16, 23, 30, and July 7, 14. Drop in anytime during those hours to explore various art mediums inspired by dinosaurs! Activities include Watercolor on June 16, Embroidery on June 23, Mixed Media on June 30, Painting a 3D Model on July 7, and Decoupage Shells on July 14. This series welcomes participants of all ages, requiring no prior registration.
