Details:
Three separate short stories directed by Rick Scheffert make up this evening of theatre: Cagebirds by David Campton, Unsinkable by Michael McKeever, and An Experiment by Brent Holland. Cagebirds is a one-act play about eight women living in a locked room. They are content in their routine until a “Wild One” is introduced. Unsinkable takes place on April 15th, 1912, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Harland and Claire Wydner-Doyle have just been informed that the ship they’re standing on, the unsinkable Titanic, is in fact sinking. Hogwash! An Experiment portrays a fantasy world, in which five confused participants wake up with no memory of their past life and only one word, a personality descriptor, written in type on their shirts. The doctor explains that each is here willingly, and that they are all being compensated for their participation in a research study.
