Details:
In preparation for the Library's Joy March, we invite you to a creative workshop to help you prepare to be bold, be silly, and be present! Join Miss Holly and Mister Joe as we create puppets, noise-makers, giant cardboard heads, and whatever else you can come up with. We’ll provide a multitude of materials to help you create something fantastic. Registration is optional. If you register, you will be sent a reminder email for the event.
The Library’s fourth annual Joy March will take place on Saturday, July18 at 10am! Taking inspiration from Iowa City’s Public Space One, our silly mini-parade will march around and through beautiful Vander Veer Botanical Park starting in the parking lot near the conservatory. Come equipped with noise makers, puppets, giant cardboard heads, costumes, brightly colored clothing, and join the fun. All are welcome! Joy will not be postponed due to weather.
This program will appeal to children and families of all ages.
Note: Fairmount St. is temporarily closed at Hickory Grove Road due to construction. To access the Fairmount Branch, please approach from the south via Central Park Ave.
We strive to make our programs inclusive to all. For accommodation requests, please reach out to youthservicesandprogrammingstaff@davenportlibrary.com
