Cooking from the Island: What's Fresh and Wha...

Details:

About Cooking from the Island: What's Fresh and What's Local with Cara Monteleone Join us for a seasonal farm-to-table cooking experience with Farm Institute Culinary Educator Cara Monteleone! These hands-on classes celebrate the fresh flavors and bounty of Martha’s Vineyard, inspired by the growing seasons of our farm. Participants will begin with a guided tour of the Friendship Garden to harvest vegetables and herbs for the day’s recipes, followed by cooking and meal preparation in our Teaching Kitchen. Menus will feature ingredients grown on the farm and locally sourced from around the island, creating a true taste of the season. The class concludes with a shared meal enjoyed together on the porch. Please notify thefarminstitute@thetrustees.org of any food allergies or dietary restrictions prior to the program. This class is geared towards adults. Pre-registration is required for all Farm Institute cooking classes. Please contact thefarminstitute@thetrustees.org with any allergy or food restriction questions at or if you’d like to join as a member and receive discounted programming. Consuming raw or undercooked meat, poultry seafood or eggs may increase your risk of food borne illness. If you would like to attend but are unable to pay, please reach out LBrown@thetrustees.org for more information.
