Morning at the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House

Join Easterseals Midwest for a sensory-friendly morning at the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House, presented by Southern Bank.
Walk among hundreds of free-flying butterflies in the Tropical Conservatory, explore hands-on learning activities in the Lopata Learning Lab, and meet fascinating insects in the native butterfly garden. Families will enjoy exclusive access to this local destination with spaces and activities designed for people with disabilities and sensory-processing needs.
Our sensory-friendly family events help people of all ages and abilities experience community attractions in a welcoming environment. Trained Easterseals Midwest staff will be on-site throughout the event to provide support as needed.
To help keep the experience sensory-friendly, attendance is limited.
Admission is $1 per person. Children ages 2 and under attend free.
