Details:
In a series of five Shabbat presentations during the month of July, Rabbi Shook will explore the dynamics of Jewish identity. Starting with the early history of identity through membership in family, clan, and tribal groups for sustenance and security, he will describe the times and events that transformed how we see our Jewish identity, from one of kinship to one of shared religious values. The series concludes with discussions of conversion to Judaism and what that will mean for the Jewish future.
